The Epcot opened Oct. 1, 1982. Since opening day, the following attractions have been added:
- Spaceship Earth, AT&T; Universe of Energy, Exxon; World of Motion, General Motors; Journey into Imagination, Kodak; The Land, Nestle USA; and EPCOT Computer Central, Unisys (now closed).
- Since opening day, Horizons (10/1/1983); The Living Seas, United Technologies (1/15/1986); Wonders of Life, Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. (10/19/1989); and Innoventions (replaced EPCOT Computer Central, 7/1/1994) have been added to Future World.
- World Showcase opened with nine nations surrounding the World Showcase Lagoon. These nations were Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, the United States of America, Italy, Germany, China, and Mexico. Since the opening of Epcot, Morocco (10/1/1984) and Norway (5/6/1988) have been added to World Showcase.
- World of Motion, General Motors was replaced by Test Track
- Horizons (10/1/1983) was replaced by Mission: Space
