The main concept is you buy a base ticket and add only the "Options" that you want to use. The best thing with this new program is that it allows you to pick and choose what you want to pay for ou your vacation. Here is the key, to really reap the benefits of the program, you must be going to the parks 5 or more days. Do you really park hop? Is the water parks a must? What about an annual pass? These are some of the questions we will try to answer and get you on the road to some very good savings.

Choose what options you would like

Ok...now you've got the number of days that you want to visit the parks. It is now time to discuss options. There are just 3 options to choose from: Park Hopping, Water Parks park and More, and No expire option. Here is where it can get a little intresting. With so many options and combination of options, you really need to sit down and think of what you might do. The number of days you selected for your base ticket above will correlate to the option days below.

Here is a what each option is:

  • Park Hopper® Option - With this option, you can hop around to any of the 4 walt disney world theme parks including Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney Hollywood Studio and Animal Kingdom.

  • Water Parks and More Option - option entitles guest to a specified number of visits (based on base days selected) to a choice of entertainment and recreation venues. Choices are Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, DisneyQuest, Disney’s Oak Trail golf course, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

  • No Expiration Option - With this option, any unused admissions on a ticket have no expiration date. All tickets expire 14 days after first use unless No Expiration is purchased.

 Things to Remember

A couple of things to consider when buying tickets and option:

  • If you dont get the no expire option, any unused days expire 14 days after the first day is used

  • Dont get options that you will not use or rarely use.

  • The park hopper option can be a nice convienince but if this is your first time to the walt disney world resort or if your time in each theme park is already packed, dont get this option. Because you know that you wont have the time to park hop to another park. A base ticket is what most people will use.

  • The No Expiration Option, is probably the worst option because it has a sliding scale cost and not a flat cost. Most families will get a 4-5 day pass based on their time in disney, so saving any unused days is usually more expensive than just buying another day.

  • The Water Parks and More Option, is probably the best option to get if you are going get any options because it has a flat cost. Alot of families typically get 1 less day on their base pass but get this option because it allows then to go to the water park (among others places) for an entire day.

  • There are authorized disney ticket brokers out there that can get you a small discount on tickets but these are combo tickets and not just base tickets only. So if you are looking to add some options, they may be a good option. Even we are considering becoming an Authorized disney Ticket broker.

  • If your stay is long enough, an annual pass might be a good option for you because it opens a new world of discounts (including up tp 40% off resort rates) for the pass holder.
